Daryk Richars
Daryk started dancing at five years old in Timmins, Ontario, beginning with tap before exploring various dance styles. He eventually found his place in ballet. At 14, Daryk joined the Quinte Ballet School of Canada's Professional Training Program in Belleville, Ontario. During high school, he also trained with Ballet Jörgen, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and The Royal Danish Ballet.
After graduating from QBSC, Daryk continued refining his ballet technique at The Alberta Ballet School, where he spent two years in the Post Graduate program. It was there that he deepened his appreciation and love for contemporary dance.
In 2022, Daryk made the move to Vancouver to train with Lamondance. Since then, he’s been performing primarily with Lamondance but has also been a guest artist in the Royal City Youth Ballet's Nutcracker and appeared in an original work by Francesca Vergara.
Daryk is excited to keep the momentum going with Lamondance in Season 16.
